Lend A Hand

Volunteers are an important part of Lynn Meadows Discovery Center.  Working directly with our visitors, planning behind the scenes, building and repairing exhibits, and cleaning the museum are just a few of the ways that our volunteers contribute to our success.

We know how valuable volunteers are to US, but what can YOU gain from your volunteer experience at Lynn Meadows Discovery Center?

*Orientation and background check processing are required prior to volunteering.  We ask that our volunteers be 18 years of age or older.

January 13 – Girl Scouts 9:30 – 12 (help assist with crafts, serve food, clean up)

January 14 – Sensory Sunday 9:30 – 12 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the morning)

January 26 – Free Friday Night 4:30 – 8 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the night)

January 19 – Family Cooking Class 5:30 – 8 (help serve food, assist with crafts, clean-up)

January 28 – Mardi Gras at Lynn Meadows 11:30 – 2:30 (set-up games, oversee games, assist with Mardi Gras Parade, take-down and clean-up)

February 11 – Sensory Sunday 9:30 – 12 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the morning)

February 16 – Family Cooking Class 5:30 – 8 (help serve food, assist with crafts, clean-up)

February 17 – Girl Scouts 9:30 – 12 (help assist with crafts, serve food, clean up)

February 23 – Free Friday Night 4:30 – 8 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the night)

March 9 – Family Cooking Class 5:30 – 8 (help serve food, assist with crafts, clean-up)

March 11 – Sensory Sunday 9:30 – 12 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the morning)

March 17 – Girl Scouts 9:30 – 12 (help assist with crafts, serve food, clean up)

March 25 – Easter Egg Hunt 4:00 – 7 (hide Easter eggs, set-up games, oversee games, assist and supervise children, pass out prizes, take-down and clean-up)

March 30 – Free Friday Night 4:30 – 8 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the night)

April 8 – Sensory Sunday 9:30 – 12 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the morning)

April 20 – Family Cooking Class 5:30 – 8 (help serve food, assist with crafts, clean-up)

April 21 – Girl Scouts 9:30 – 12 (help assist with crafts, serve food, clean up)

April 27 – Free Friday Night 4:30 – 8 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the night)

April 28 – Super Hero Day 10 – 2 (set-up games, oversee games, assist and supervise children, dress in Super Hero costume, take-down and clean-up)

May 5 – Lynn Meadows 20th Birthday Party 10:00am – 8:30pm (set-up games, oversee games, face paint, serve food, take-down and clean-up)

May 13 – Sensory Sunday 9:30 – 12 (supervise children, help clean up areas in the museum throughout the morning)

May 19 – Girl Scouts 9:30 – 12 (help assist with crafts, serve food, clean up)
