The production will feature a cast of actors, singers, dancers and musicians 8 years and older from across the Coast! WINGS will be partnering with Gulf Coast Boys and Girls Clubs for this production which features the hit song Ease on Down the Road. All the essential elements of the beloved story of Dorothy and her friends are retained but every familiar character and situation has been given a sly, hip and very funny contemporary twist.  "The Wiz" has been called Oz with Soul.   The overall mood of it is joyous rock, with sweet with sweet excursions into gospel, blues and old fashioned ballads.    The hit Broadway musical opened in January of 1975 andt ran for over four years winning seven Tony awards including Best Musical.   The WINGS version promises to be fun, fabulous and fantastical- a don't miss summer musical adventure!
